The passage of Proposition 8 in California was a pretty disgraceful show of ignorance. Just when we thought that this election was a sign of the cleansing of much of that ignorance. But, to be fair, the "YES" folks did run a much better campaign than the "NO" folks.

Meagan Strub, my fellow Californian attending Ohio State, gave an inaccurate portrayal of California Proposition 8 in her editorial "Homophobia at the polls" on Nov. 10.
To begin with, the current controversy began when activist judges overturned the democratically supported Proposition 22 of 2000. The people of California approved the measure, which restricted the state from recognizing same-sex marriages, by nearly a 2-to-1 margin

George W. Bush, the United States of America's 43rd president, is now in the closing months of his presidency. From the moment of his election, he has been a target for slander and vicious attacks.
